MedShare Delivers the first of $20 Million in Spinal Surgical Sets to Ukraine

UPDATE: The spinal surgical sets were officially handed over to MedShare partner, Razom for Ukraine, on March 6, and will be making their way to surgical facilities immediately!

ATLANTA, GA – MedShare International, a leading humanitarian aid organization dedicated to improving healthcare access worldwide, is proud to announce the shipment of the first lot of spinal surgical sets to humanitarian partners Razom for Ukraine and ZDOROVI National Agency for Humanitarian Aid.

The ongoing war in Ukraine has led to the destruction of critical infrastructure and the displacement of millions of civilians, while the necessity for neurosurgical care has increased tremendously. These surgical sets, valued at nearly $20 million, will ultimately be deployed to critical care hospitals in heavily impacted regions of the country, enhancing the capabilities of medical professionals on the front lines and contributing to the improvement of surgical care in the war-torn country.

As the conflict enters its third year, the ongoing shipments of these surgical sets mark a significant collaboration between MedShare International and its partners, aiming to rebuild the healthcare infrastructure in Ukraine. The specialized sets will play a crucial role in supporting complex and challenging surgical procedures, particularly in orthopedic and neurological spine surgeries, addressing the unique needs of patients in the region.

“We are honored to facilitate the delivery of this critical state-of-the-art equipment to our partners in Ukraine,” said Jason Chernock, Director of Programs and Partnerships at MedShare International. “This initiative is a testament to our collective commitment to advancing healthcare globally and providing essential resources to communities facing unique challenges.”

Razom for Ukraine and Zdorovi National Agency for Humanitarian Aid will oversee the distribution and utilization of these surgical sets in collaboration with the region’s critical care hospitals. The aim is to empower medical professionals with the tools necessary to perform intricate surgeries, enhancing their ability to provide comprehensive and specialized care.

The rolling shipments of this equipment will be a vital component in building resilience within the healthcare system in Ukraine. MedShare International remains dedicated to working alongside its partners to ensure that the hospitals on the front lines have the necessary resources to address the healthcare needs of their communities.
