Operations Veteran Brings Wealth of Leadership Experience to Role
ATLANTA – April 18, 2024: MedShare International, a global humanitarian aid organization dedicated to increasing access to health care for individuals and families in underserved communities in the U.S. and around the world, has announced that its Board of Trustees has appointed Stacey Koehnke as the organization’s new CEO & Executive Director.
“We are thrilled to welcome Stacey as our new CEO & Executive Director. Her deep passion for our mission and proven success as COO of the organization make her an exceptional choice to lead MedShare. We eagerly anticipate her inspiring our team and community to reach our strategic goals and amplify our impact both domestically and internationally,“ announced David Kochman, Chair of the MedShare Board of Trustees.
Koehnke, who joined MedShare in early 2022 as Chief Operating Officer, brings over 30 years of operations and supply chain leadership experience into the global nonprofit sector, having undertaken operational leadership roles of increasing responsibility at The Coca-Cola Company, Kimberly-Clark and Proctor & Gamble.
Prior to joining MedShare, Koehnke was COO of the Atlanta Community Food Bank (ACFB), which serves a 29-county area by collaborating with over 700 nonprofit organizations throughout the southeast to provide food assistance to people in need . At ACFB, Koehnke led the organization’s operations, supply chain, infrastructure, risk management and strategy teams, and was instrumental in the design and construction of the organization’s new state-of-the-art 345,000 square foot facility – currently the largest nonprofit food bank in the world.
Koehnke will continue to oversee the centralization and optimization of MedShare’s operational structure as the organization – well known for providing humanitarian medical aid internationally – expands its service efforts directed to the network of under-resourced health clinics and hospitals in the United States.
