How Caring Crew Is Expanding Access to Healthcare Worldwide
Access to care often comes down to a simple but critical question: can the right tools and resources reach the people who need them, when they need them most?

For Caring Crew, the answer begins with people willing to help carry them there.
Comprised primarily of airline employees – many of them from Delta Air Lines – along with family members and volunteers, Caring Crew is an independent nonprofit dedicated to improving health, education, and wellness in underserved communities around the world. Through its partnership with MedShare, the organization helps ensure that essential medical supplies reach healthcare providers working in resource-limited settings.
Delivering More Than Supplies
Since launching its medical supply delivery efforts in 2017, Caring Crew has supported healthcare providers across Latin America, Africa, Eastern Europe, and Southeast Asia.
What makes their approach unique is its simplicity.

Volunteers incorporate medical supply deliveries into their travel—personally transporting carefully packed equipment and supplies and placing them directly into the hands of clinicians and care teams. In doing so, they help bridge gaps that can delay or limit access to care, particularly in communities where resources are stretched.
Supporting Care Where It’s Needed Most
Caring Crew’s international efforts have reached communities in countries such as Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, Honduras, the Dominican Republic, the Philippines, and most recently in Panama, Guatemala and Zambia.

Working alongside local healthcare providers, these deliveries help support a range of needs—from maternal and neonatal care to basic diagnostic capacity—ensuring that hospitals and clinics are better equipped to serve their patients.
Through its collaboration with MedShare, Caring Crew helps extend the reach of high-quality medical supplies and equipment, connecting them with providers who can put them to immediate use.
A Commitment That Starts at Home

In addition to its international work, Caring Crew is also active in communities across the United States. Through volunteer initiatives in places like Clarkston, Georgia and Inez, Kentucky, the organization supports local programs focused on youth development, education, and community wellness. These efforts reflect the same spirit that defines their global work: meeting people where they are and supporting communities in meaningful, practical ways.
A Simple Idea, Meaningful Impact
Caring Crew’s work is rooted in a simple idea—that small actions, carried out consistently, can make a meaningful difference.
By connecting people, resources, and opportunity, they help strengthen the ability of healthcare providers to care for their communities—whether across the globe or closer to home.
For MedShare, the partnership reflects an important truth: improving access to care isn’t only about what is delivered, but about how—and by whom—it is delivered.
