2 Million Mothers

Clean Birthing Kit Project

Every year 2 million new moms watch their newborns die on their first day of life, all because of illnesses that could be prevented.

According to the UN, 98% of maternal deaths are preventable. Yet, every two minutes a woman dies from treatable causes related to pregnancy and childbirth. And nearly 3 million of all the babies who die each year could be saved by low-cost care.

That’s where we come in. Through our Maternal Child & Child Health Program we are donating ultrasound machines, baby warmers, birthing beds, and other essential medical equipment to save moms and babies in low-resource areas! We’re also delivering 100,000 Clean Birthing Kits to expectant mothers in medically underserved communities who don’t have access to traditional care.

But we need your help to do it! Click the links below for different ways you can support 2 Million Mothers!

“On a bad day we’ll lose 6 or 7 babies. We’ve had days when we’ve lost as many as ten.”
See the Joy News documentary “Next To Die” chronicling the unbelievable conditions facing mothers and newborns at Ghana’s second largest hospital. Overcrowding and lack of capacity contributes to at least four baby deaths every day.
