Welcome to MedShare’s Headquarters and Southeast Distribution and Volunteer Center! As a result of A.B. Short and Bob Freeman’s vision, we began our mission of bridging the gap between surplus and need in 1998. We’ve since served the Southeast by partnering with local hospitals and saving tons of medical supplies from landfills. To date, we’ve shipped over 1,300 containers of medical supplies and equipment to countries in need. Below, you will find information on our facility location, how to support our mission (you can volunteer or donate), news on recent and upcoming projects and events, hospital partners, and key staff.
Join us for this year’s Kaleidoscope!
The first annual Kaleidoscope was truly a night to remember.
Humanitarian Award Honoree and NBA Hall of Famer, Dikembe Mutombo, spoke about his work in The Democratic Republic of Congo, the necessity to combat preventable diseases in impoverished communities, and how each of us has a personal responsibility to give back. Oda Foundation founder John Christopher also shared stories about his healthcare post in one of the most underserved areas of Nepal. The incredible messages that were shared truly moved the crowd and inspired guests to exceed MedShare’s fundraising goal.
We encourage you to support this year’s Kaleidoscope event in September! Contact Clinton Lewis for more details.
