Volunteer

Volunteers are, and have always been, the heart of MedShare. In fact, many of our regular volunteers have been generously donating their time for 15+ years -- knowing that the work they are doing has a direct impact on MedShare's mission to help our charitable healthcare partners provide access to quality healthcare for those who might otherwise go without. Our volunteers come from every walk of life and as they sort, identify, and package critical medical supplies that will be shipped to underserved communities in the US and around the world, they work together as a team that truly makes a world of difference.

Why Volunteer?

Volunteering allows you to connect to your community and help make it a better place. Even the smallest tasks can make a real difference in the lives of men, women and children living in medically vulnerable communities.

MedShare Volunteer Impact

“Volunteering your time to support a MedShare shipment is an incredibly meaningful experience. It’s amazing how our staff can quantify the number of lives impacted by your efforts.”

Remy Bernstein, MedShare Board Trustee

We invite groups and individuals to volunteer at our Southeast Distribution Center in Decatur (Atlanta).

Please note:
All volunteers must pre-register; we do not accept walk-ins. MedShare is NOT a host site for court ordered community service.

Age Requirements:
MedShare welcomes youths between the ages of 10–17. A signed Parental Permission Form is required for ALL youth. Youth aged 10-13 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Youth 14 years and older may volunteer independently as long as they have provided the signed Parent Permission Form.
