Chi Ugwu is the Director of Programs at MedShare International and a member of the organization’s senior leadership team, where she leads the strategy and execution of programs that expand access to healthcare in underserved communities across the United States and globally. She works across teams and partners to ensure programs are aligned with organizational priorities, operationally effective, and positioned to deliver measurable, sustainable impact.
Chi brings a multidisciplinary background spanning disaster response, public health, disability services, and community-based program development. Through her work with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), she has supported complex disaster housing operations, coordinating across multiple levels of government to deliver equitable and timely assistance. She has also contributed to public health research and community initiatives focused on improving access, inclusion, and system-level outcomes. Throughout her career, Chi has demonstrated a strong ability to lead in complex, resource-constrained environments, translating strategy into execution while aligning diverse stakeholders around shared goals. She is deeply committed to advancing health equity and brings a disciplined, data-informed approach to program leadership.
