“It is gratifying for Council members to know that their efforts are improving the health and lives of people in the Bay Area and around the world. The personal stories of our partners in hospitals, medical missions and safety net clinics inspire us.”

Come change the world – three hours at a time. MedShare depends on volunteers to sort and box donated medical supplies for shipment to healthcare facilities in developing countries.
We handle our volunteer scheduling online so, if you are interested in helping out, go to the Volunteer page to sign up through our online system. Sorting sessions are held at our San Leandro distribution facility most Tuesdays through Saturdays. Sessions run from 9am-12pm and 1-4pm.
Once you register on the website, you’ll be able to see all of the open volunteer sessions and sign up for a time that works for you. It’s that simple! Everything else you need to know will be provided in an orientation on the first day you volunteer.
If you have any questions or if you are interested in bringing more than 5 people to volunteer, please contact our Volunteer Program at VolunteerCalifornia@medshare.org or (510) 567-7070 ext. 106.
“I come to MedShare to do just a little of what is needed in the world. Sending medical supplies to the people in need is lifesaving. I thank MedShare for allowing me to give back in this way.”
“I volunteer at MedShare because I am healthier, more satisfied, and more connected when I do. It amazes me how little my personal contribution is in comparison to the joy received when the faces of the children, mothers, and fathers helped are shown.”
“We are so incredibly thankful for all that you do, the hard work that is accomplished to help those in need. You are a company of miracles with people who give more than they receive.”
