Mildred Crear was the Director of Maternal and Child Health for the San Francisco Department of Public Health. She has been a member of the Bay Area Black Nurses’ Association (BABNA) since it’s inception in 1971. Currently, Mildred is the Chairman of Nursing and Community Education.
Malia Barshaw, RN

Malia Barshaw is a Registered Nurse with Stanford Healthcare. She began leading medical missions with MedShare in 2017, traveling to provide care in Kenya, Bangladesh, Lebanon, Haiti, and Cambodia.
“With MedShare’s help, women in the rural parts of Africa will not have to experience what I experienced. To me, that’s like seeing bright stars in a very dark sky at night.”
Paulette Nonga is an activist working to alleviate poverty, empower women, and educate young girls. Paulette is originally from Cameroon and has a personal stake in improving maternal and child health for families in medically underserved communities.

Mary Haupt has volunteered with MedShare in San Leandro since before the doors opened in 2008. As a retired Certified Public Accountant, she not only sorts supplies but also helps with volunteer management record-keeping.
