ATLANTA, Georgia (September 7, 2018). – MedShare, an Atlanta-based humanitarian aid organization dedicated to global health, has been named a 4-Star Charity by independent, nonprofit rating organization, Charity Navigator. This is the 14th consecutive year that MedShare has achieved this honor.

Ratings are based on donation transparency, organizational accountability, and measurable impact. Only 1% of U.S. nonprofit organizations have earned a 4-Star rating. Having served more than 20 million patients in 100 countries, MedShare’s dedication to donor transparency and commitment to strong financial health and responsibility were highlighted in Charity Navigator’s announcement.

“We are honored to receive this incredible distinction for the 14th year in a row,” said Charles Redding, CEO & President of MedShare. “We value accountability and transparency because we know that the trust of our donors is paramount to the success of our mission. We hope that this recognition will bring attention to the needs of the communities we serve and will serve as a tool as we improve the quality of life of people and our planet. We look forward to continuing to achieve our mission with integrity and responsibility.”

“14 consecutive years as a 4 Star Charity is a testimony to the commitment to quality MedShare holds as a priority for both organizational excellence and mission delivery to the communities we serve,” said Angeline Fife, Chair of MedShare’s Board of Trustees. “When donors choose to support MedShare’s mission, they are confident their contributions are going to a financially responsible and ethical organization who are trustworthy stewards of their gifts. We are immensely proud to call ourselves a 4-Star Charity for the 14th consecutive year.”

“Attaining a 4-star rating verifies that MedShare exceeds industry standards and outperforms most charities in your area of work,“ said Michael Thatcher, President and CEO of Charity Navigator, in his announcement to MedShare. “This exceptional designation from Charity Navigator sets MedShare apart from its peers and demonstrates to the public its trustworthiness.”
