Senator Isakson Visits MedShare
Thursday, October 5th marked yet another first for MedShare International. Georgia's own U. S. Senator, Johnny Isakson, visited our headquarters and distribution center in Decatur. The senator was given a personal tour of the facility by CEO & Co-Founder, AB Short, Board of Trustee Chair, Glen Reed and Nell Diallo, Managing Director. Also present was board member, Jim Sheahan, who helped to arrange the visit and meeting.
The special visit provided an exciting opportunity for MedShare to highlight its mission of helping keep U. S. landfills free of surplus medical supplies and equipment by sending them to hospitals in economically developing countries around the world. Senator Isakson was impressed with the work of MedShare and expressed an interest in sharing his experience with other Senate colleagues in Washington, DC.
