The Council of Volunteer Administrators of Metropolitan Atlanta, Inc. (COVA) honored Kimberly-Clark as the Corporation/Agency of the year at their 35th Annual Awards Luncheon on June 19, 2007. COVA seeks to advance the professional management of volunteer services and hosts their awards once a year to honor organizations that strongly support volunteerism in the Atlanta area.

One of Kimberly-Clark's strongest philanthropic partnerships is with MedShare International. Each month, Kimberly-Clark's Director of Community Relations, Beverly Yearack, organizes a group of Kimberly-Clark employees to volunteer at MedShare's headquarters, where they help sort and repack medical supplies. In addition, many of the company's retirees volunteer on a monthly basis. Kimberly-Clark prides itself on improving communities both locally and around the world.

"Kimberly-Clark Corporation has served as an example to other members of the community in their commitment to supporting social causes and volunteerism," said Sarah Jacobson, MedShare's Volunteer Program Manager. Jacobson attended the luncheon with Yearack to celebrate the presentation of this award.

In October 2007, Kimberly-Clark will host MedShare's Second Annual Art Auction fundraiser event.
