Emory Healthcare sponsors a container to Nigeria

Emory Healthcare hosted two events in July to celebrate its partnership with MedShare and the sponsorship of a container filled with medical supplies and equipment for the Nigerian Women's Maternal Morbidity Reduction Project. Since March 2007 alone, Emory employees have collected more than 32,000 pounds of supplies and equipment for MedShare. Additionally, they have logged more than 200 volunteer hours at MedShare's headquarters, sorting and repackaging medical supplies. A representative for the consulate general of Nigeria attended the celebration, which featured traditional West African entertainment from the Djeliba Drum Ensemble. Emory Healthcare has been a partner with MedShare since 1998.
