It's about turning surplus into a major plus
We like to think of what we do at MedShare as recycling at its best. It's about turning surplus into a major plus, and it works thanks to our numerous contributors: the U.S. hospitals and medical companies that donate surplus, unused products, the volunteers who sort and pack the supplies, the financial contributors who fund MedShare's operation, the receiving hospitals in developing countries and our nonprofit partner organizations.
Since 1998, MedShare has shipped more than 380 forty-foot medical containers to 72 economically developing countries. While recycling more than $60 million dollars worth of medical supplies and equipment, MedShare has saved more than 980,000 cubic feet of space in U.S. landfills.
Because of the generosity of our financial contributors, MedShare can address global health needs by supplying recipient hospitals in the developing world with vital medical supplies and equipment.
MedShare offers many giving options for individuals, corporations, private foundations, religious organizations, and civic groups around the world. MedShare's container sponsorship program is a unique way to fund the cost of forty-foot medical container shipments to targeted recipients. You can also sponsor medical team donations, support the biomedical department and local volunteer program, or give to general operating. All contributions are tax-deductible.
