- How does MedShare obtain donated items? Back
-
MedShare receives supplies and equipment from hospitals, outpatient centers, and medical manufacturers and distributors around the country. Partner hospitals regularly donate medical items that are still sterile and useable but usually discarded due to regulatory requirements. Manufacturers and distributors often donate overruns, discontinued items and cosmetically damaged products. Such items would otherwise most likely end up in landfills or incinerators.
