We believe our MedShare volunteers to be among the brightest and most interesting people around and no one illustrates this more than our Western Region volunteer, Nassim Nouri. Since first volunteering with us in February, 2010, she has provided almost 800 hours of service!
A biochemist by training, she applied her expertise in process design to the challenge of organizing and stocking the Medical Team store. She created standard operating procedures for stocking the store and helped improve its layout and operation. Along with other dedicated volunteers, she helps makes sure all the most needed items are kept in stock. Her efforts have been much appreciated by the hundreds of teams that gather medical supplies from the store.
When Nassim is not busy helping to outfit medical mission trips, she is busy on her own adventures around the world. In the last year, she has traveled to Alaska, the Galapagos, Bali, Java, the Dutch Antilles, the Bahamas, Turks and Caicos and more. She is an expert scuba diver and we can attest to the quality of her underwater photography. When she’s home, she also makes and sells jewelry. Her positive energy and many talents are a gift for which we are very grateful.
