Charles Redding joined MedShare as its new COO, effective May 29, 2012. He succeeds former COO Josh Kravitz. The appointment of Mr. Redding represents the culmination of a three-month search by the MedShare team to determine Mr. Kravitz’s successor. In this executive role, Redding will lead the enterprise operations, including national strategic services, the Southeast Distribution and Volunteer Center, and emerging market operations to fulfill MedShare’s mission of international caring.
Redding comes to MedShare with 23 years of experience with Johnson & Johnson, most recently as Vice President of Global Manufacturing Operations for Mentor Corporation – a J&J acquisition and leading supplier of medical products for the global aesthetic market. He was based in Santa Barbara, California from 2009 to 2011 and had responsibility for 6 manufacturing sites in the U.S., Europe and Africa. Charles is a native of Atlanta, Georgia. He received a bachelor’s of science degree in Chemical Engineering in 1985 from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta. He also holds a certificate in Team Management from the Daniel School of Management at the University of South Carolina and is Six-Sigma Greenbelt Certified. Redding now lives in McDonough, Georgia with his wife Vele Keyta Y. Redding and 11 year-old son, Morgan Charles Redding. He enjoys reading, sports, teaching and developing people.
