Bridging the gap between surplus and need.

Young Professionals Gather in New York to Raise Funds For MedShare

May 08, 2012

On April 24, a group of concerned young leaders headed by Jennifer Tytel, daughter of MedShare New York Regional Council Chair, Sandy Tytel, hosted a young professionals networking event benefiting MedShare at the Tribeca Grand Hotel in Manhattan. As part of our New York expansion, this event was held in an effort to raise funds for a shipment of medical supplies and equipment as well as awareness of MedShare’s mission in this new market. A silent auction was held, and all proceeds will be used to ship boxes of medical supplies and equipment to developing countries.

"I was so thrilled to have the opportunity to organize this event and raise awareness for the MedShare mission in the New York area,” said Tytel. “We are grateful to all of the young professionals, sponsors and item donors who made the night a success; their support allows MedShare to further bridge the gap between U.S. surplus and overseas needs. I absolutely loved working with the MedShare team and cannot wait to work with them again soon!"

MedShare is indeed lucky to have such an inspiring group of young people involved as we expand into the New York region. For more pictures from the event, click here.
