Bridging the gap between surplus and need.

Josh Kravitz

Chief Operating Officer

Josh Kravitz is the Chief Operating Officer of MedShare.

Before joining MedShare in 2005, he spent a year and half as the Executive Director of Democrats Abroad, a voter rights organization in Washington D.C. that ensured US citizens living abroad could take part in all federal elections. He also ran a nine-month project for the Empower Program that introduced violence prevention classes to the main curriculum of the District of Columbia Public Schools. The goal of this program was to encourage positive teacher and student communication and interaction around issues of students’ perceived sexuality to foster a more peaceful learning environment. Josh began his career in 2000 as a Site Manager for Service Learning Program at Arizona State University where he managed tutoring programs in Native American communities and Mexican American neighborhoods in Arizona. His experience at the Service Learning Program catapulted him into the nonprofit profession. While in this role, he also spent time studying in Cuba, which inspired him to focus on international humanitarian work.

While in graduate school, Josh was an adjunct lecturer of writing at American University in Washington, DC. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Law and Society,  and a Master of Arts in Rhetoric and Composition. Josh and his family live in Atlanta, Georgia.
