David R. Pass, CFRE

Chief Advancement Officer

David Pass has directed and managed fundraising campaigns that combined have raised more than $35 million. He currently serves MedShare as Chief Advancement Officer, where he provides executive leadership for strategic partnerships, fundraising and marketing activities. Prior to that, Dave served Bobby Dodd Institute as Director of Stakeholder Relations and managed capital and endowment campaigns for O’Neill & Associates Fundraising Consultants for some of Atlanta’s finest nonprofit agencies, including Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta, Bobby Dodd Institute, the Latin American Association, and Kids In Need of Dreams, among others. Dave is involved in the community, where he serves on the Board of Directors of Culture Connect and The President’s Advisory Council for Oglethorpe University. He recently served as President of the Association of Fundraising Professionals – Greater Atlanta Chapter and Vice President of Oglethorpe University’s Alumni Board of Directors. He is on the faculty of the Georgia Center for Nonprofits and Hands On Atlanta’s Citizen Academy and presents regularly to corporate, religious, and nonprofit groups on fundraising, marketing, nonprofit governance, and a variety of other topics.

Dave is a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) and has completed executive education programs at Harvard Business School. He possesses an honors degree (BA) from Oglethorpe University in philosophy and political theory, a certificate in urban leadership, and received the President’s Leadership Prize. Dave also served on the staff of former U.S House Speaker Thomas Foley in Washington, D.C., and as a Special Assistant to the President of NBC during the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta.
